[edit] Ian Harold Brown images

Hey -- I removed the speedy tag from the image you mention because what you said isn't a criterion for speedy deletion. What I'd suggest is, put the page on your watchlist. If sourcing / licensing is added within 7 days, nominate it for deletion at WP:IFD. If not, you can tag it for speedy deletion then, as images with no sourcing can be speedy deleted after 7 days. I read from above that you've been on WP a long time; it's possible the whole deletion process has changed. Now, we have specific criteria for speedy deletion, and different processes for pages that need deletion for more ambiguous reasons. See Wikipedia:Deletion policy and Wikipedia:Deletion process. [edit] Fair use images in lists

Hello, I see you have contributed your thoughts to Wikipedia talk:Fair use/Fair use images in lists. It's been dead for a while, but I have archived it and taken a new fresh start. I hope this time we will be able to achieve something as I have summarized the main points of both sides (feel free to improve them) and I call you to express your support or oppose on the concrete proposal that I have formulated. Thanks, Renata 02:27, 28 October 2006 (UTC)

Hi, thanks for your support. It has annoyed me a lot, but I'm too busy these days to put any effort into fighting it. I may plan on emailing all of the MPs in the future to ask for permission to use their images.

Unfortunately these people have a different philosophy when it comes to Wikipedia than we do, and in my opinion it is ruining the quality of Wikipedia. It also reduced the enjoyability of contributing. If you were to set up some sort of arbitration thing, I would love to help out and voice my concerns. -- Earl Andrew - talk 19:00, 30 October 2006 (UTC)

Thank you for letting me know about the RFC, Mcasey. – Quadell (talk) (random) 18:44, 31 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Cdn govt images

If it's as you say, then it really is curious what these folks are arguing. I must do some more reading on this issue. However, if this is just some ideological movement rather than a legal movement then I cannot hold much sympathy for this view. -PullUpYourSocks 23:01, 31 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Mass removal of {{Replaceable fair use}} template

Please don't remove the {{Replaceable fair use}} template from images. Instead, add the {{Replaceable fair use disputed}} tag, and mention on the talk page what the dispute is about. (I'm sure it would suffice to link to the RFC, rather than having to write it out 100 times.) I've rolled back the removal of the templates, but I don't want an edit war. I've refrained from deleting those images for now, even once 7 days are up, to give it a little more time. Peace, – Quadell (talk) (random) 22:56, 2 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Romans 13:1

In case you hadn't noticed, Romans 13:1 has been proposed for deletion. NickelShoe (Talk) 16:28, 21 December 2006 (UTC)
