"mbrooksay" is an internet alias used by Mathew Brooks which combines his exaggeratedly pronounced surname nickname of "Brooksie" and the first letter of his first name. The alias is often mistakenly interpreted by people as being related to the name Brook, either first or last name, which can be associated to the letters 'say' at the end, suggesting the word "say" is part of the alias.

Mathew Brooks uses "mbrooksay" as his login name for many different websites, including Wikipedia and Google's e-mail system, Gmail. "mbrooksay" has also been his call-name for a number of online games, more particularly the first-person shooter genre.
