[edit] Liverpool F.C.

Hello Mazito and welcome to Wikipedia. I have reverted your entry to Liverpool F.C. as information introduced into articles must be verifiable from reliable sources, and conform to a neutral point of view. If you have a source, please site it in the article. If you need any help, please let me know and I will do what I can. Thanks. -- Alias Flood 03:15, 8 July 2006 (UTC)

Thank you for experimenting with the page September 25 on Wikipedia. Your test worked, and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. A link to the edit I have reverted can be found here: link. If you believe this edit should not have been reverted, please contact me. Fabricationary 03:18, 8 July 2006 (UTC)

Hey Mazito. I admire your effort, I really do, but could you please stop putting the entire history of LFC back into the Liverpool F.C. article? There is a separate article History of Liverpool Football Club for all of that, cheers, aLii 22:12, 13 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Please answer your messages

It's rude to ignore article talk pages and even worse your user talk, cheers, aLii 22:52, 13 July 2006 (UTC)

  • p.s. I'm going to report you for a WP:3RR violation if you do it again without first discussing. aLii 22:54, 13 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Discuss your edits

Given the wholesale nature of your edits, you should enter discussions on the talk:Liverpool F.C. page before making any major edits in the future. E.g. when you say "the rest of the part of the 'honours', that should stay the same (in my [great] way)", what you should really do is start a discussion on the talk page saying why you think the section should be changed to a specific format. As it stands the Liverpool F.C.#Honours section was perfectly good (better in my eyes) before your edit, so I'm going to carry on reverting your edit until a discussion is had.

Also a lot of your various small edits, like changing "Premier League, 3rd" to "FA Premier League, 3rd" in the infobox are also unneeded, and generally thought to be bad edits. See Arsenal F.C. as an example of what the Liverpool page should eventually be like. There is a lot of work to do, and if you dedicated your time instead to writing a "Colours" or "Badge" section it'd be much better for the page. Cheers, aLii 09:16, 3 August 2006 (UTC)

I have reverted your entry to Liverpool F.C. for the same reasons given above and as stated on that article's talk page. Please enter into discussion there before adding instructions which are against the spirit of Wikipedia. Please also bear in mind that entries should have a neutral point of view (re your entry of "dubious penalty"). Thanks. -- Alias Flood 04:19, 10 August 2006 (UTC)
Rather than finding your edits to Liverpool F.C. reverted by myself and other editors, please discuss them on that article's talk page. Wikipedia is all about consensus. Thanks. -- Alias Flood 03:20, 11 August 2006 (UTC)
Please do not revert again or you will be in breach of the WP:3RR rule for which you may be blocked from editing. -- Alias Flood 03:23, 11 August 2006 (UTC)
Please everyone understand that when I change it, it gets better! I know it's just an opinion, but it's a very good one, and I'm sure you would think like that also. And there's only slight differences from the one you lot keep putting it back to, but my ones are correct, and in my great view, better....
User:Mazito 04:23, 11 August 2006 (BST/GMT+1)
Wikipedia does not work that way. It works according to Wikipedia:Consensus. Please discuss matters on the article's talk pages and try to reach that consensus. Thanks -- Alias Flood 03:30, 11 August 2006 (UTC)
I kinda' do. Well it's very late, and (although very unfairly) I'm not allowed on my computer right now, so in the near future I will make a massive discussion over it, and get it right. I know Wikipedia doesn't work like that, but I'm tryna' make it perfect here, and you other users should understand this! I am a great LFC fan, and I want the page for them to be perfect, and get a star like Arsenal FC has! And I don't get it, no matter what way it is outta' mine and the other one, it's well better than Arsenal FC's! Can someone try and apply for it, or however you're meant to go about it, can someone do that please, for the good of this great article (of Liverpool FC). Gracias, adiós....
User:Mazito 04:34, 11 August 2006 (BST/GMT+1)
I am glad to see from your above comment that you will enter into discussion over these edits and other matters. Thank you for that. Please note that information in a player's infobox should show appearances and goals for only domestic leagues (as written at the bottom of the box). I have amended your edit to Steven Gerrard to reflect this. -- Alias Flood 03:46, 11 August 2006 (UTC)
Ok, well I don't really see the point in that, or it should still have at least the total amount of first team appearances (and goals) for LFC also. That's kind of pathetic not having the total, but at least now I realise why it's like that, instead of thinking that on such a major article, it has a massive and bad mistake like that. If it says it, I'm a lot surprised that I missed it like... -- User:Mazito 03:46, 14 August 2006 (BST/GMT+1)

[edit] License tagging for Image:SOR-2449.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:SOR-2449.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

[edit] The Naked Brothers Band

Thanks for making a page for the The Naked Brothers Band, I was just about make one for them but you beat me to it. In the article I also mentioned that they are going to have a show on Nickelodeon in January. So will try to develop more information on them as they the show's premiere date approaches. [edit] Your edits to Veronica Afflerbach

Please do not make references to yourself directly on the article. Use its talk page instead. Thank you.--Húsönd 00:44, 6 November 2006 (UTC)

There are many problems with your version of the article. For one thing, we don't need to know she's 14. People know how to do the math. We don't need to be told she was born on a Saturday. That is not notable. Her friendship with another actor is not notable. We all know the state of New Jersey is in the USA. Fix all of that and I will stop changing it. May I also inform you that you are very close to violating the 3RR rule. Fighting for Justice 21:06, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
Fine keep the USA portion, but the friendship reference has to go! Unless you can say something notable about their friendship it can not be in the article. Being friends with somebody is not a big deal. The Saturday and 14 year old reference has to go as well. Nothing notable in those statements. Fighting for Justice 21:27, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
Do you see any article about this actor James Stankunas? Since there is none no one cares about their friendship. As far as I know, wikipedia articles can not mention friendships unless there is something notable about the friendship. It isn't so much about the two people, but the friendship itself. Like, for example, it would be ok if they were friends who later became engaged or married. Of course you would have to provide a reference to confirm this. My comment about violating NPOV was made because you made a self-reference in the article. But I applaud you for later removing it. Fighting for Justice 21:47, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
I will be reporting you for violating the 3RR rule. You asked for it. Fighting for Justice 22:44, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
If indeed you are a good wikipedia editor then you would know the rules and not violate them. Clearly you did violate one of them today. You are not to revert an article for more then 3 times in a 24 hour period. This rule applies even to administrators. You should have known better! Fighting for Justice 23:00, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
Rules are rules and they are to be obeyed. If you can not do that than wikipedia isn't an appropriate place for you. As far as the Veronica Afflerbach is concern I was merely trying to get the article to conform to wikipedia rules. The way you first wrote it appeared like a fan article. I was trying to make it into an encyclopedia article. You said you were willing to remove the Saturday and 14 year old references and yet you put them back. I don't appreciate you making promises that you can't keep. Fighting for Justice 23:11, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
Actually didn't we also settle that you would remove the Saturday and 14 year old reference as well? Wikipedia does not have to please Veronica even in an article about her. So long as the information is accurate and verifiable she can't do squat about it. In other words, nothing illegal or inflammatory should be in the article. Fighting for Justice 23:31, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
Well, make an article about James Stankunas. That way you can mention their friendship. Without an article about him people won't know anything about him or the extend of his fame. Without an article about him he looks unimportant. But should you make an article on him make it sound professional and not like a fan piece. Good luck! [edit] Image:VAMMLFCPE8922589.jpg listed for deletion

Dear uploader: The media file you uploaded as Image:VAMMLFCPE8922589.jpg has been listed for speedy deletion because you selected a copyright license type implying some type of restricted use, such as for non-commercial use only, or for educational use only or for use on Wikipedia by permission. While it might seem reasonable to assume that such files can be freely used on Wikipedia, a non-profit website, this is in fact not the case. Please do not upload any more files with these restrictions on them, because content on Wikipedia needs to be compatible with the GNU Free Documentation License, which allows anyone to use it for any purpose, commercial or non-commercial.

If you created this media file and want to use it on Wikipedia, you may re-upload it, but use the license {{GFDL-self}} to license it under the GFDL, or {{cc-by-sa-2.5}} to license it under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license, or use {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain.

If you did not create this media file but want to use it on Wikipedia, there are two ways to proceed. First, you may choose one of the fair use tags from this list if you believe one of those fair use rationales applies to this file. Second, you may want to contact the copyright holder and request that they make the media available under a free license.

If you have any questions please ask at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you. KillerChihuahua?!? 16:56, 19 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Jaycie Ward

A tag has been placed on Jaycie Ward, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. LeaHazel : talk : contribs 23:32, 25 December 2006 (UTC)

He's done this twice now in one day. An administrator deleted the article earlier. Mazito is in serious violation here. You can not make an article on someone just because YOU think they're special. Fighting for Justice 03:10, 26 December 2006 (UTC)
OMG! There's so much to say, and I'm too busy to say it. Well for one, I know she's special, you wanna' try seeing her, it takes bottle what she does, and she only has bloody eight years. She's amazin', believe me! And I have only put it back up because some dickhead requested the speedy deletion shit, then it happened! It should be there because that's the kinda' thing this is for, and a lot of people know of her and would like to know more, and therefore search on here, and then they have it. OMG, I'm not making it sound as good as it is, and I've been through all this, I posted a detailed explanation on someone's talk page! It should stay there!
MAZITO - Tuesday, December 26, 2006; 03:13 (GMT)
THe person was correct in deleting it. Wikipedia is not a crystal ball nor is it a place to get people noticed. Wikipedia articles are for people who have a reputation established, not trying to make one. They must be notable. If she wants to be noticed she can get herself an agent. It is way to early for this kid to have an article here. Fighting for Justice 03:19, 26 December 2006 (UTC)
I've never heard of her until today. Being known around your town, or even state is NOT notable enough. Being recognized world-wide IS. Get that through your head. Your article will be deleted. Fighting for Justice 03:25, 26 December 2006 (UTC)
If the article's subject meets Wikipedia's notability criteria, the way to handle that is to put a {{hangon}} tag on the article, and then edit it to provide a reliable source that shows it. The list of criteria for notability of individuals appears at Wikipedia:Notability (people). (Cross-posted)
You should also note that Wikipedia's notability criteria states the following: '"Notable" here is used in its adjectival sense of "worthy of being noted"[1][2] not in its other adjectival sense of "prominent or important", nor in its noun sense of "a celebrity". It is not synomyous with fame or importance.' What this means is that someone may be important or notable to you, or to others, but that does not mean that their importance is of encyclopedic level. Removing someone's article from Wikipedia doesn't mean they're unimportant; all it means is that they've not met the criteria for inclusion, that is, they've not been the subject of multiple, non-trivial published works, independent of the source and of each other.
In the future, if you want to write a biographical article about someone, provide citations from newspapers, magazines, reference books, research articles etc. that show the subject's notability. This will prevent your articles from being deleted, provided the sources are verifiable and non-trivial. LeaHazel : talk : contribs 09:47, 26 December 2006 (UTC)

Blocked - legal or personal threat against another user

As a result of your comments made at Talk:Jaycie Ward—namely (removed)—you have been blocked from editing Wikipedia for 1 week, for posting what could be seen as a threat against another user on Wikipedia. Wikipedia does not tolerate such actions. You don't put in that she loves sports. That makes it seem like she wrote it herself. Encyclopedias don't pretend to know the person's feelings. Try to make the article sound formal. Fighting for Justice 03:24, 2 January 2007 (UTC)

All right I can do that. The article needs more sourcing. If any of that information is published somewhere make sure to link it to the article. That will solve everything, and remove the tag. Fighting for Justice 03:39, 2 January 2007 (UTC)
Yeah, I know it wasn't you. It was that Subway user. Fighting for Justice 03:44, 2 January 2007 (UTC)
Welcome, and thank you for correcting spelling on Wikipedia! However, both spellings of the word you "corrected" are acceptable.

Please familiarize yourself with American and British English spelling differences before making further spelling corrections to articles. Wikipedia has 4,061,496 registered users on this English Wikipedia. These editors use different versions of English including American English and British English. The list of dialects of the English language goes on and on.

When many styles are acceptable, avoid changing from one style to another unless there is some substantial reason for the change. It is acceptable to change from American spelling to British spelling only if the article concerns a British topic or vice versa or if you are making the article internally consistent.

More information is available at Wikipedia's Manual of Style. Enjoy your time on our encyclopædia/encyclopedia. Thank you. SUBWAYguy 03:46, 2 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Beech Island Historical Society

If articles about the Beech Island Historical Society have been published in a newspaper or magazine, please add those articles as references. Otherwise, another editor may say that notability has not been demonstrated. --Eastmain 04:18, 2 January 2007 (UTC)

Yes, this is essential. There should be something. Even the web will do if it is something more than a blog. It will also help to add the name of principal shows and exhibits if they refer to well known events or people. DGG 04:28, 2 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Photographs of museum exhibits

If you have a digital camera, could you take a photo of the historical society's museum building and its exhibits and of other notable locations in Aiken county, and then upload those photos with the appropriate licence to http://commons.wikimedia.org so that the photos can be used in each of the Wikipedias. If you speak Spanish, it might be worthwhile to add articles about the historical society and the communities near it to the Spanish-language Wikipedia at http://es.wikipedia.org --Eastmain 16:03, 2 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] AfD Nomination: Veronica Afflerbach

I've nominated the article Veronica Afflerbach for deletion under the Articles for deletion process. We appreciate your contributions, but in this particular case I do not feel that Veronica Afflerbach satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion. I have explained why in the nomination space (see What Wikipedia is not and Deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Veronica Afflerbach. Don't forget to add four tildes (~~~~) at the end of each of your comments to sign them. [edit] Reclaim The Kop

I have reverted your edit to Reclaim The Kop. The first reason is that there is too much "gushing" and WP:POV reporting (WP:NOR) when describing the group/org. The second reason is that I removed the "charter", since it may be a copyright issue, and even if that is not true, Wikipedia is not a place to host that information at its whole. -- moe.RON Let's talk | done 19:37, 8 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:VAMMLFCPE892258922.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:VAMMLFCPE892258922.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BigDT 06:18, 17 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] European Clubs' Champions Cup

Your edit summary "Fuckin' fools whoever done that!" is inappropriate and unnecessary. See Wikipedia:Civility. Also, it is unacceptable to cut-and-paste text to move a page from an incorrect title to the correct one, as this does not take account of the edit history and Talk: page. In the "European Clubs' Champions Cup" case, using the "Move" tab on would not have worked because the desired pagename "European Champion Clubs' Cup" already existed, but you could have used Wikipedia:Requested moves to get admin assistance for these cases. Now instead see Wikipedia:How to fix cut and paste moves to get things sorted out. Regards, jnestorius(talk) 21:02, 20 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:My VMA! LFC! FCB! By MM!.JPG)

Thanks for uploading Image:My VMA! LFC! FCB! By MM!.JPG. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use.

Thank you. [edit] Fro Adu

Another user has added a "{{prod}}" template to the article Fro Adu, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the user that posted the template has explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. [edit] Comments at Liverpool F.C.

Hi, the edit summary you used at Liverpool F.C. was inappropriate. While I appreciate the frustration, please try to remain civil. Thanks, Gwernol 00:19, 13 March 2007 (UTC)

Also, please don't "correct" the intro sentence from UK to US English. Please refer to WP:ENGVAR - an article about an English football club should be in British English. Thanks. Ytny (talk) 02:21, 13 March 2007 (UTC)
