Nasty place to grow up- don't move to Mazon! The town is about 50 years behind the rest of civilization, and it is very prejudice place! There is a very large drug problem and teen pregnancy problem. In the schools often times children are allowed to pick on and belittle other students with little recourse. I lived here until I was 17 years old when I left for Chicago. I didn't know it at the time, but this would be the first time I had ever experienced freedom. I am now 20 and in college, and I would never, ever go back, not even to visit.
