Mazzarrone is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Catania in the Italian region Sicily, located about 160 km southeast of Palermo and about 70 km southwest of Catania. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 3,727 and an area of 33.5 km2.[1]
The municipality of Mazzarrone contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Leva and Grassura.
Mazzarrone borders the following municipalities: Acate, Caltagirone, Chiaramonte Gulfi, Licodia Eubea.
