Mazda T platform
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Mazda T platform is an automobile platform for front wheel drive midsize cars. The platform debuted with the 1993 Mazda Millenia and was retired in 2002 with no replacement.
Instead of Mazda's usual struts, the TA featured front and rear multi-link suspension, similar in design to the ones from the HD Sentia/929. The front suspension has an A-shaped lower arm instead of the HD's I-arm, presumably due to front wheel drive.
Note that some Mazda vehicles have similar platform codes but are unrelated. The following vehicles use the Suzuki T platform, not the Mazda T platform:
- Mazda Proceed Levante (TF/TJ)
