She is also known to have ground breaking work with unusual subjects like fetish models, plus models and very beautiful feminine transsexuals as fashion models (published in Simply Gorgeous, a transgender magazine) although this part of her work is rarely publicized.

Anyone able to provide a source for this? Maya emailed Wikipedia to deny it, so I've removed it from the article for now. -- Zanimum 13:33, 27 March 2006 (UTC)

RE: I never denied that i worked and shot gender benders and night life diva performers, female illusionist such as Candis cayne Kevin Avaiance and Alana Star those were published in numerous magazines and media. that's why this discussion was erased by me. I e mailed wikipedia because there was inappropriate and unsubstantiated false claims about my identity and occupation...i am not interested in having my personal life paraded anywhere or having rumors or lies entertained here with out me fallowing threw to protect my privacy and good name. Since i am also looking to prolong my visa here in America as an Artist any of this accusations can hurt my future personal and proffsional life and legal status. I did not ask to be on this site and believe me i rather not be somewhere that every one that desires can just "EDIT" my life story as they see fit, so the least i can do is to make sure you get the facts strait and here you have it right from the source. mayaguezphoto

I noticed the phrase "female illusionists". I am a little confused as to what it means, is it the same as a drag queen? - Akamad 13:49, 28 March 2006 (UTC)

re: Female illusionist is the proper custom name for transsexual performers that do not want to be referred to as drag queens or transvestites since unlike drag queens they live full time as females not only on stage. (Mayaguezphoto 14:02, 28 March 2006 (UTC))
