Would individuals who live in the respective markets of each of May's different department store banners be able to take photographs of the exteriors before all of the brands/banners are removed and converted to Macy's in August 2006? I think it would be a great addition to each of the articles to see the logos on the buildings before they are gone forever and changed nationwide. Thanks in advance! J2rome 04:08, 9 July 2006 (UTC)
This revision of 1/3/06 restores a great deal of historical material researched by anon user 68.251.34.112, transfered to Federated Department Stores, and then cleaned out of the Federated page by user Wackymacs. Department stores like Bon Marche and Filene's had connections with civic history and identity and this is more than corporate trivia. Look at the sentimental & outraged discussions over the disappearance of the Marshall Fields brand in Chicago. All this department-store history may or may not best belong on the May Company page but it should be revived somewhere, so I've done it here. --Lockley 03:23, 3 January 2006 (UTC)

While there is plenty of good information worth keeping in this article, better organization could greatly help the reader access it more easily. — ArkansasTraveler 22:04, 6 February 2006 (UTC)
