Maywood Avenue School in Maywood, Bergen County, New Jersey, United States teaches grades four through eight as part of the Maywood Public Schools. Part of the school is the Greenwood Early Learning Center, which runs Pre-K and Kindergarten programs. Voters in 2005 approved a $17.6 million program that will be partly used to renovate Maywood.

It has React Club, Choir, Band, and Student Council. In 2005, Maywood students used their lunch money to raise $1,500 for Kenyan schools. The project has since raised $20,000 in the community.

Maywood students won the North Jersey spelling bee in 1995 and 1996.[1]. A fifth grader's presentation on the checkered white butterfly won the Species on the Edge - Art and Essay Contest for Bergen County in 2005. [2]

A suit for sexual harassment brought by a former teacher against a female school trustee was settled out of court in 1999.
