Maynard Sonntag

The Honourable Maynard Sonntag, MLA for Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan, is the current Minister of Crown Investments Corporation and First Nations and Metis Relations in the government of Saskatchewan.
He was raised and educated in Goodsoil, Saskatchewan.
Prior to being elected, Sonntag was a manager in the Credit Union system from 1980-1991.
Sonntag was first elected to the Legislature in 1991 and was re-elected in 1995 , 1999 and 2003.
Since first being appointed to cabinet in June 1997 as Minister of Property Management and Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority, he has held various portfolios including Post-Secondary Education and Skills Training, Highways and Transportation, Energy and Mines, Aboriginal Affairs, and has been the Minister Responsible for SaskTel, SGI, SaskWater Corporation and Saskatchewan Transportation Company.
