Maycomb

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Maycomb is a small Alabama town that was created by Harper Lee in the book, To Kill a Mockingbird. In the book she describes the town as small and old. She says the days seem longer than 24 hours because everything moves slower there. The fictional town was actually based on Harper's hometown of Monroeville, Alabama. The town has a wild area to the north known as Old Sarum where the jury for the trial resided.
