Maybe You Should Drive (commonly abbreviated MYSD) was the second full-length album by Barenaked Ladies. It was released in 1994 and has gone double platinum in Canada. It was also their first album to chart in the US.
The well-known tracks from this album include "Jane", "Alternative Girlfriend", "These Apples", "A", and "Life, in a Nutshell."
Tracks recorded for this album but left off of the finished record are: an early version of "Break Your Heart" (which later appeared on Born on a Pirate Ship, except the lyrics were re-written), "Trust Me" (later re-recorded for Born on a Pirate Ship, but left off that album, too; appears on the "Shoe Box" EP single) and possibly an early version of "Same Thing" (which was later recorded for Born on a Pirate Ship with re-written lyrics).
Keyboardist/percussionist Andy Creeggan left the band after this album out of musical disillusionment and entered McGill University's Music program to improve his talents. He has since recorded four albums with his brother Jim (who is also bassist for Barenaked Ladies) under the name The Brothers Creeggan.
The naked track for this album is "Intermittently".
