"Maybe Tomorrow" was a hit song recorded by American soul family quintet, The Jackson 5, in 1971.
The ballad was originally supposed to have been sung (possibly in a different production) by Sammy Davis, Jr. but for various reasons, the entertainer couldn't get on the schedule to do the song and the song was then given to the Jackson brothers led by 12-year-old Michael, who showcases a developing voice in the opening melody humming soulfully while his brothers give a doo-wop-like setting in the background.
The song has a memorable break-down by Michael and Jermaine before the song ends in an almost instrumental setting. The song went as high as #3 R&B and #20 Pop.
It was included on the Jackson 5's album of the same title, and was later sampled by rapper Ghostface Killah on his 1996 rap "ballad" "All I've Got is You".
