May to December was a BBC sitcom broadcast 1989-1994 on BBC1 and produced by Cinema Verity. It was set in Pinner and revolved around a solicitor Alec Callender, and his younger girlfriend Zoe Angel. Alec was portrayed by Anton Rodgers, and Zoe was portrayed by Eve Matheson in the first two series and then by Lesley Dunlop.
Other notable actors in the programme were Clive Francis, Rebecca Lacey and Frances White.
The title of the show comes from the Anderson-Weill song "September Song", which is sung during the credits.
It also provided the breakthrough role for Scottish actress Ashley Jensen who went on to find fame in Extras and Ugly Betty.
