If you add a new parameter to a parameterized template, then it's your responsibility to go through all the linked-to articles and add that parameter if it's missing, even if it's blank. Otherwise it will render as {{{producer}}}. A bummer, I know. Thanks. --Lexor|Talk 10:04, Jan 24, 2005 (UTC)

is there a way to make the parameterized field either render or not, depending if the parameter is blank or not? that would rock and people like me wouldn't have to sift through 30,000 movies adding empty parameters, to make them compatible with new fields like music or awards. shuff 20:19, Mar 26, 2005 (UTC)

Max, as much as I am in favour of the concept of these templates, some people have chosen to make wikipedia less functional and user friendly by deleting them. The original Kurbirck template was deleted at the beginning of this week (along with Hitch & Spielberg). I wish you'd contributed to the debate on the original TFD. It was very close.
