Maxine Peacock (née Heavey) was a fictional character played by Tracy Shaw on the soap opera Coronation Street.

Maxine Heavey entered the series in the 1990s, working in the salon. She was very much a good-time girl, and had relationships, often one-night-stands, with several of the male characters, including Steve McDonald and Curly Watts. Seeking security, she married Ashley Peacock in 1999. Maxine had trouble becoming pregnant by Ashley. On the night that he had surgery to assist with this problem, Maxine had sex with local doctor Matt Ramsden, becoming pregnant by him. She gave birth to Joshua, who Ashley accepted as his own. Maxine was murdered by Richard Hillman in 2003. After her death, Ashley had a DNA test to see whether Joshua was in fact his son, resulting in a distraught Mr Peacock when the results were revealed.
