Maxime Dethomas

Maxime Dethomas (1867-1929) was a French painter and theatre decorator. He was a friend of Toulouse-Lautrec and the brother-in-law of Ignacio Zuloaga, who married his sister and who he introduced to artists of the Symbolist group such as Gauguin. The Musée de l'Opéra in Paris currently houses much of his work.
