Max West

Max Edward West (November 28, 1916 - December 31, 2003) born in Dexter, Missouri was an Outfielder and First Baseman for the Boston Bees/Boston Braves (1938-42 and 1946), Cincinnati Reds (1946) and Pittsburgh Pirates (1948).
He was named to the 1940 National League All-Star Team.
West finished 23rd in voting for the 1939 National League MVP for playing in 130 Games and having 449 At Bats, 67 Runs, 128 Hits, 26 Doubles, 6 Triples, 19 Home Runs, 82 RBI, 1 Stolen Base, 51 Walks, .285 Batting Average, .364 On-base percentage, .497 Slugging Percentage, 223 Total Bases and 8 Sacrifice Hits.
He finished 26th in voting for the 1940 NL MVP for playing in 139 Games and having 524 At Bats, 72 Runs, 137 Hits, 27 Doubles, 5 Triples, 7 Home Runs, 72 RBI, 2 Stolen Bases, 65 Walks, .261 Batting Average, .344 On-base percentage, .372 Slugging Percentage and 195 Total Bases.
West finished 27th in voting for the 1942 NL MVP for playing in 134 Games and having 452 At Bats, 54 Runs, 115 Hits, 22 Doubles, 16 Home Runs, 56 RBI, 4 Stolen Bases, 68 Walks, .254 Batting Average, .354 On-base percentage, .409 Slugging Percentage, 185 Total Bases and 3 Sacrifice Hits.
