Max Velthuijs

Max Velthuijs was a Dutch artist, illustrator and author. He was born in The Hague in 1923 and died in 2005.[1] He was one of the most famous children's illustrators in the Netherlands. In 2004 he received the Hans Christian Andersen Award for illustrators.[2]

In 2003, his stories of Frog and friends were adapted into a children's play performed at Norwich Playhouse.[3]
