Max Thrasher is an American professional wrestler who has competed on the East Coast independent promotions throughout the 1990s as a mainstay of the Mid-Eastern Wresting Federation as well as Extreme Championship Wrestling during 1992 and 1993. He has also trained many top independent wrestlers including Morgus the Maniac, Adam Flash and Kevin Featherstone.

Competing for Extreme Championship Wrestling (then Eastern Championship Wrestling), he and Glenn Osbourne were initially successful in the tag team division in early-1992 as Nightbreed. In June 1992, they advanced to the finals of an 8-man tag team tournament to crown the first ECW Tag Team Championship, defeating The Flames in the opening round although Thrasher was pinned in a match against the Super Destroyers in the finals.

During this time, he would also compete for the Mid-Eastern Wrestling Federation winning the promotions vacant heavyweight title after defeating A.C. Golden in a tournament final in Pasadena, Maryland on July 11, 1992.

After losing a rematch to then ECW Tag Team Champions the Super Destroyers on July 14, the team fell victim to a month long loosing streak resulting in their breakup and subsequent fued by the end of the summer. Although allied with the Super Destroyers, Osbourne dominated their encounters and Thrasher eventually lost to Osborne, failing to win the ECW Television Championship, at an event on October 24, 1992 (Thrasher would also lose his MEWF Heavyweight title to Lucifer on February 5, 1993).

In May 1993, he began teaming with J.T. Smith briefly fueding with Eddie Gilbert and Jimmy Snuka before Thrasher attacked his partner during a match in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on May 18, 1993. He and Smith would fight each other during the next month and a half before leaving the promotion by the end of June.

Returning to the MEWF, Thrasher would later team with Duane Gill, Tommy Lee Manson and Bob Starr in an "elimination match" against Mike Khoury, Joe Thunder, Max Moon and Tommy Dreamer at a show at Essex, Maryland on November 14, 1993 resulting in the sole survivor, Mike Khoury, being awarded the MEWF Mid-Atlantic Championship according to a pre-match stipulation.

In 1998, Thrasher defeated Adam Flash for the MEWF Mid-Atlantic Championship before loosing it to Steve Corino.

In October 1999, he and Lucifer would defeat the Bad Crew for the Mid-Eastern Tag Team Championship before loosing the titles to Ricky Blues and the New Patriot on November 13, 1999.

After MWEF Heavyweight Champion Patch was stripped of the title, Thrasher would advance in a tournament to fill the vacant title loosing to Lucifer in the tournament finals on April 29, 2000 (the match being refereed by former WWF wrestler "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan).

In September 2000, Thrasher defeated MEWF Heavyweight and Mid-Atlantic Champion Buzz Stryker during a Four Way match against Morgus the Manaic and Dino Casanova regaining the title after seven years. During the next three months, he and Dino Casanova would fight over both titles with Thrasher regaining the Heavyweight Cahmpionship at Hampstead, Maryland on November 11, 2000 although he would lose the Mid-Atlantic Championship to Cassanova on January 27, 2001). His third reign lasted only several months before being forced to vacate the title on March 17, 2001.

Thrasher would again reunite with Lucifer to regain the MEWF Tag Team Championship defeating KPA on June 9, 2002. However, after a five-month reign, Thrasher and Bob Starr (substituting for Lucifer) lost the titles during a match against Dino Casanova and Chad Bowman on November 24, 2002.
