Max Kaminsky (jazz)

Max Kaminsky (September 7, 1908 – September 6, 1994), was a jazz trumpeter.
Kaminsky was born in Brockton, Massachusetts. He started his career in Boston in 1924 and by 1928 worked in Chicago with George Wettling. He went on to work with Artie Shaw, Sidney Bechet, George Brunis, Art Hodes, and Joe Marsala. In addition to that he was in Jackie Gleason's personal band for several years and was part of Earl Hines All stars. He wrote his autobiography in 1963.[1] He was primarily known for Dixieland[2] and at one time played for the Original Dixieland Jass Band[3]
