Max Adler (January 15, 1873, Vienna - June 28, 1937, Vienna) was an Austrian legal scholar, politician and philosopher. He was a representative of Austromarxism.
He is well known for his attempt to wed Neo-Kantian philosophical categories to Marxist doctrine; he was involved in a number of polemics concerning the role of the state with (a.o.) Max Weber, Hans Kelsen and Hermann Heller.
