Mauricio Ricardo Pinilla Ferrera (born 4 February 1984 in Santiago, Chile) is a Chilean footballer who currently plays for Universidad De Chile.

Having started his career with Universidad de Chile, Pinilla left for European football in 2003, spending short periods with Chievo in Italy and Celta Vigo in Spain. After a transfer to Portuguese side Sporting Clube de Portugal, he spent spells on loan at Racing Santander (2005-06) and Hearts (2006-07), seemingly unable to settle down at any of his new clubs.

Pinilla's time at Hearts was beset by injuries, resulting in him only playing a handful of times for the Edinburgh club. On 27 February 2007 he went back to former club Universidad de Chile, prematurely ending his Hearts deal.[1]

Pinilla is an established Chilean internationalist, and led his country's scoring during qualifications for the 2006 FIFA World Cup, with three goals.
