Maurice de Vlaminck (April 4, 1876October 11, 1958) was a French painter, printmaker and author.

Vlaminck was born to musician parents in Paris. As a youth he studied violin before becoming a professional cyclist. His career was ended by a bout with Typhoid fever in 1896. After this he joined the military. During this time he met André Derain, under whom he began to paint.

His work was influenced by Vincent Van Gogh and Paul Cézanne, though his paintings tended to avoid the bright colors that characterized their work.
