Maurice Catarcio

Maurice Catarcio (March 21, 1929May 12, 2005) competed in the World Wrestling Federation from 1957 to 1960, under the ring-name 'The Matador.' Catarcio began putting on public displays of strength after he was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 1991. When he was 65, he swam the backstroke while tugging an 80-foot sightseeing boat across a lake. Then, at age 72, he dragged a bus down a New York City street on David Letterman's show. Some of his feats are in The Guinness Book of World Records. He died on May 12, 2005, of cancer, aged 76.
