Mauretania Comics
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Mauretania Comics began in the 1980s, published by Paul Harvey and Chris Reynolds. Reynolds' main character was the mysterious Monitor, a strange helmeted figure. Harvey's was the blatant Mincer. The stories were mainly quiet, distant pieces, as if peering into other people's lives.
The graphic novel Mauretania by Reynolds was a separate story, published by Penguin Books in 1990.
Mauretania Comics' "heir" is the metropoppyfield.com website. Harvey is now one of the Stuckist painters.
