[edit] Clay Aiken
Oh boy. Someone—I think it's the same IP address as usual—has removed the sentence about Clay possibly being gay, once again. I think we're fixing to have a full-fledged edit war on our hands. Should I list the page on Wikipedia:Requests for comment? (I figured you would be a good person to ask, because you've reverted the page to include that sentence a few times already.) I have not yet reverted the page. Hermione1980 21:25, 3 May 2005 (UTC)
The first user was blocked; however, we now have another anon IP adding vandalism about some people thinking Clay is an alien. (At least I'm pretty sure it's vandalism; however, the user's other edits seem to be valid, so maybe there are people who really think Clay is an alien. If there are, I haven't heard of them.) I've already reached my 3RR limit for today; will you do the honors of reverting the page? Hermione1980 22:17, 4 May 2005 (UTC)- Never mind, someone else already took care of it. Hermione1980 22:42, 4 May 2005 (UTC)
Our best friend is back…not the same IP address, but same issue. He's taken out the last paragraph again. I've reverted the page, but if you could keep an eye out for it again, that would be good. Hermione1980 23:59, 27 May 2005 (UTC)
In light of the current discussion on the talk page, is it about time to file another RfC on this article? Hermione1980 6 July 2005 23:24 (UTC)
Revert war brewing over inclusion of Openly Clay on the article page—I'm up to two reverts already. Sorry to bother you over this again, but could you place the page on your watchlist again? Hermione1980 8 July 2005 17:59 (UTC)
- Hmm…my first thought was "no". It's not likely to do any good anyway, as Miklos seems to be so set in his/her ways. However, it's entirely up to your own judgement. You might ask Katefan her opinion, since she's involved in this article too. Hermione1980 8 July 2005 20:04 (UTC)
[edit] UND page compared to other universities
Good work on all the ND articles. It's good to see someone really taking wikifying my home state seriously. One thing you may want to figure out an appropriate place to link into it all is the Headbolt Heater article I wrote, as it was invented by a Nodak.
The real reason I'm posting here, though, is to encourage you to make the University of North Dakota article look more like those for other excellent educational institutions (see, e.g., College of William and Mary and Yale University). I don't have the time or mad wiki skillz to do it myself.
Stay warm! Ari 06:50, 8 May 2005 (UTC)
- I see you did it - good work, and thanks. :) Ari

[edit] Categorization assistance
Thank you for all of your help with the migration of articles to the new category, Category:American Idol contestants! Hall Monitor 1 July 2005 23:27 (UTC)
- By the way, would you mind voting on the Julia DeMato article? Hall Monitor 1 July 2005 23:30 (UTC)
[edit] Major cities in North Dakota
I'd like it if you'd reconsider your vote at CFD [1]. The idea of the category is definitely different from Metro areas. I've also made significant improvements to the implementation of the category, and have incorporated the "Largest cities" section of Template:North Dakota as a guideline for what constitutes "Major".
Please bear in mind that there is no legal differentiation between large and small communities in North Dakota. I feel that Category:Cities in North Dakota, being the full list of all communities, is inadequate, while Category:Metropolitan areas in North Dakota is too restrictive. This category fills an important niche that until now has not been met. --Alexwcovington (talk) 05:35, 10 July 2005 (UTC)
- Thanks! --Alexwcovington (talk) 06:56, 10 July 2005 (UTC)
- This is quickly beginning to be a massive undertaking... with three days to go, there are two deletes (three counting the sponsor), two keeps (three counting Gene, who hasn't actually voted yet), two merges, and one rename. If things stood like this, it'd be pretty hard for the category to be deleted outright at the end of the week, but it would probably be put into protracted debate until there was a clear consensus. The two voting for deletion, and the sponsor, have yet to answer back on my appeals. We'll see how it goes. --Alexwcovington (talk) 08:36, 10 July 2005 (UTC)
Looks like the category's survived! --Alexwcovington (talk) 20:36, 13 July 2005 (UTC)
[edit] WikiProject Proposal
Any thoughts on getting the WikiProject proposal on North Dakota off the drawing board? I've updated some of my suggestions (feel free to change the page as you like)... I think the real challenge here is manpower. --AlexWCovington (talk) 14:03, 10 August 2005 (UTC)
- Good idea - I'll put some links up on ND article and category talk pages. --AlexWCovington (talk) 08:22, 11 August 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Wikipedia:WikiProject Oz
I see you have edited quite a few Oz-and-Wicked related articles, so I thought I would let you know about the new WikiProject about Oz and Wicked: WikiProject Oz. I hope to create a community to help guide the continued development of the articles about the series and its authors, characters, etc. toward even more quality articles. If you are interested, please add your name under the "Participants section" and please leave any comments or questions on the project's talk page or my user talk page. [edit] Thanks on Wikiproject 'Oz'
Testing... one two three...
I just wanted to say 'Thank you' for a moment. I'm the little enthusiast who edited the Elphaba and Fiyero pages recently, and I was very glad to see that you had fixed the picture of Idina Menzel so that it looked spiffy-looking and had made Fiyero's romantic situation more gramatically correct. I still don't know how to make spiffy-looking pictures, but I'll learn - I'll learn! And in the meantime, thank you very much for your editing.
Sincerely, a Wikipedian (for lack of a better term)

[edit] Grand Forks Request for Comment
I'm always interested in improving the quality of North Dakota articles; I'm wondering just how many other contributors are from North Dakota at the moment, as a peer review requires a degree more inspection than the average Wikipedian might provide. -AlexWCovington (talk)
