[edit] Talk:Nicolaus Copernicus

Hey,

During voting, there are frequent problems with votes by sock-puppets (see Wikipedia:Sock puppetry). Seeing a vote by a user with a newly created account frequently raises such suspicions. If you have edited previously under an IP, please specify on your user page what that IP was, so that people are aware of your previous Wikipedia contributions. That should resolve the issue. Balcer 17:57, 28 February 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for the commpliment ;) I actually have no preference but see frequent nationalistic tussles in articles and more frequently equate it with simian antic-ing. I am always happy to wait for a discussion while offending parts of an article are "isolated". I won't be entering into a wheel war on this one but am disappointed in the continuation of the twoing and froing. There's really no hurry. --Alf melmac 14:20, 27 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] User notice: temporary 3RR block on Nicolaus Copernicus

You have been temporarily blocked for violation of the three-revert rule. Please feel free to return after the block expires, but also please make an effort to discuss your changes further in the future. The duration of the block is 8 hours. William M. Connolley 15:37, 27 March 2006 (UTC)

I've blocked you again, same article, same reason, plus deceptive edit summaries. Please calm down and learn the rules and work within them William M. Connolley 13:01, 28 March 2006 (UTC)

Dear William M. Connolley, don't you think you are abusing your admin rights? The first block was ok, but the second not, because I did not revert three times again! And how long is the block going to last? Matcreg 10:06, 29 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] No personal attacks

Please do not insult other people in edit summaries, even if you think they could not understand Polish anyway. "chuju jebany", which you said to me in the summary of a revert to your last version and which means "fucking penis" according to Matt Crypto[1] is not only an offence. But it also connects you to Space Cadet, who called me when reverting "Szczurek", "little rat" in Polish (see Talk:Erika_Steinbach#.22Little_rat.22). Of course it's just a coincidence and you and Space Cadet are two completely different users, maybe not even friends or relatives, at least two different IPs. Yet "users have been banned for repeatedly engaging in personal attacks. Abusive edit summaries are particularly ill-regarded," reads WP:NPA, an official policy. Please keep that in mind. If you choose to contribute positively in future, you're definitely welcome. Sciurinæ 19:55, 27 March 2006 (UTC)

I second Sciurinæ on this one. What you did was uncalled for, and I hope you will apologize to him. Balcer 20:32, 27 March 2006 (UTC)

Easy Matcreg. They are better ways to deal with people trying to delete info about Nazi atrocities, portay Kopernik as German etc. Don't make them look like victims. --Molobo 21:24, 27 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Amnesia?

Nie dyskutuje z psami, chamami i rasistowskimi zakompleksionymi szwabami.

Thanks for your attention.

Matcreg 09:48, 28 March 2006 (UTC)

Jakie "grzeczne" metody proponujesz? Myślisz że grzeczni pójdą do nieba? Matcreg 10:00, 29 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] They are other

Don't call Sciurinæ a dick Matcreg. They are other more scholary terms for people deleting information about Nazi atrocities or calling murder of Africans unimportant for history. --Molobo 02:34, 29 March 2006 (UTC)

Molobo, what are you talking about? A person behaving like a nazi even didn't deserve that noble "polish compliment". Matcreg 10:09, 29 March 2006 (UTC)

Please see Wikipedia's no personal attacks policy: There is no excuse for personal attacks on other contributors. Do not make them. Comment on content, not on the contributor; personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Note that you may be blocked for disruption. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. Thanks. SWATJester Ready Aim Fire! 10:11, 29 March 2006 (UTC)

For what is that again? Just a repetition? Hopefully not because of the words "a person behaving like..." because this is not directed to anybody special, so it cannot be an insult (red on no personal attacks policy) Matcreg 11:04, 29 March 2006 (UTC)

Remember to be cool and patient. History in the end always wins, not propaganda. --Molobo 11:46, 29 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Please look at the Prussia and Kopernik article

In both cases German nationalist are seriously damaging articles. --Molobo 19:38, 21 May 2006 (UTC)

Don't let Molobo talk you into another blocking. The Prussia article got looked over, cleaned up and accepted by many editors. The only one still throwing tantrums is Molobo so please accept the current status. About the Kopernikus article...it is still highly disputed and I would like see you join the discussion BEFORE you make any reverts. Kenaz9 15:35, 22 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Prussia

All information about discrimination of national minorities in Prussia was deleted. Information that Poles were subject to discrimination in Prussian state have been stated as "historical revisionism" by a German user[2]. All information about this presented on discussion page was either ignored or claimed that it is a Polish POV because Poles feel unsecure living on others land, despite the fact that sources were non-Polish. Please help in achieving NPOV in the article --Molobo 15:09, 25 May 2006 (UTC)
