Amazing...There is not enough interest in this titan of Western culture for even one comment on his article to be posted? I wish I had more knowledge of his life to help give him a more respectable article. Is Stephen Colbert more important than Matthew Arnold? I, for one, would appreciate more of his philosophy versus the emphasis on poetry. For example, the article says nothing about his view of the state as the "organ of our collective best self... our national right reason."
