Matthias Kürth born Wiesbaden, Germany, 1981.

Kurth is a News Reporter and Sports Presenter for ITV Border.

He can often be seen on the flagship program Lookaround as well as the many smaller bulletins.

Kurth started working for ITV after winning a much sought after place on the ITV News Trainee Scheme in 2005.

After a year at ITV Border as a trainee, Kurth then joined as a full time member of the newsroom.

In a recent interview in the local Carlisle paper The News and Star, Kurth revealed he enjoys painting. (See News and Star, 12th December 2006).
