Matthew West (born March 18, 1985 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota) is a contemporary media artist working with video installations, sculpture, photography and drawing. New Art Times art critic Jacob Dorler called West "The next most important artist of his generation."[citation needed] He is currently pursuing a B.F.A. from Mason_Gross_School_of_the_Arts at Rutgers University for 2008.
