Matthew Weiner

Matthew Weiner is an American screenwriter and television producer. Weiner is currently a writer and Co-executive producer on the HBO series, The Sopranos, being on staff since the show's fifth season and has written over 5 episodes, including the controversial The Test Dream (with David Chase), Unidentified Black Males, for which he received and Emmy nomination with co-writer Terence Winter, and Luxury Lounge, a cult favorite which features screen legend Lauren Bacall being punched in the face.

Before writing for The Sopranos, Weiner was also a writer on Becker, Andy Richter Controls the Universe and The Naked Truth.

Weiner is a graduate of Wesleyan University and the University of Southern California School of Cinema-Television.
