Matthew Richey

Matthew Richey, (b. May 25, 1803 – d. October 30, 1883) came to Canada from County Donegal in the Republic of Ireland. He was a Wesleyan Methodist minister and educator and was an important leader in the Methodist community.

One of his sons, Matthew Henry Richey, became a Lieutenant-Governor of Nova Scotia.
