Mattapan is the southern terminal of the Ashmont-Mattapan High Speed Line in Boston, Massachusetts. It is in the Mattapan neighborhood of Boston. The station is a major transfer facility, served by several bus lines: Route 24 Wakefield Avenue & Truman Highway, Route 27 Ashmont Station, Route 28 Ruggles Station, Route 29 Jackson Square Station, Route 30 Forest Hills Station via Cummins Highway, Route 31 Forest Hills Station via Morton Street, Route 33 Dedham Line, and Route 716 (Operated under contract by JBL Bus Lines) Canton.

The MBTA is currently (2006) reconstructing this station. The renovation project includes new station platforms, canopies, shelters, signage, lighting and landscaping. The project will also include construction of a new two-story building to be inhabited by MBTA police, bus operations and dispatching offices, plus a community room. In addition, the project will be coordinated with a new transit-oriented development (TOD) on an adjacent lot to the north.
