Matthew Witten (birth date unknown) is the brother of Edward Witten, a string theorist and the founder of M-Theory. He is a screenwriter for House and other shows. He is also a writer of several mystery books, the first of which was Breakfast at Madeline's. He currently resides in Los Angeles with his wife and two sons.

He is credited as the writer for the Supernatural episode No Exit which centres on the ghost of H. H. Holmes.
