Matt White is an American singer and songwriter. He plays the guitar and piano.

Matt White began studying the piano at the Manhattan School of Music at the age of 3. At age 11 he wrote an opera that won a Metropolitan Opera competition. After completing high school White traveled to attend the University of Wisconsin. There he taught himself how to play the guitar.
Upon graduating he returned to New York. His love for music only evolved. New York City embraced White. He was playing for all types of people: from locals to tourists visiting Washington Square Park. Soon after, White was on a plane to Los Angeles looking for a record deal. His trip to the Geffen Headquaters proved to be successful. He began playing to everyone he encountered. Eventually working his way up to the label executives.
Matt White's debut album Do You Believe is scheduled for release in May 2007.
