[edit] Biography

Matthew Montgomery (aka "Piggy D") grew up in west Houston and attended Mayde Creek High School of Katy ISD, graduating in 1994. While attending both elementary and secondary schools he resided in the Bear Creek area located just minutes west of Houston in the suburb of Katy, Texas. During his senior year at Mayde Creek, Matthew held an officers position in the school's band (Historian).

While a teenager in Texas, Montgomery played in several bands, the first of which was Dementia 13, a band in which he played guitar and sang for while he was 15. He also played in two other bands while living in Houston; a group called Spunk.. and then he fronted a "drag-queen horror punk" band during 1994-1999 known as the She Demons. Most of his performances were at a local club called Fitzgerald's and another club known as "The Abyss" (now closed).

The She Demons broke up after Matt relocated to Boston. This is when he first began playing as Piggy D and also played guitar briefly for the band Woddy. The 2000s saw Piggy relocating once again, this time in 2002 to Los Angeles, where he joined Casey Chaos' punk band Amen. After touring with Amen for two years Piggy met Wednesday 13 of the Murderdolls, and was invited to play guitar in 13's solo band. Piggy stayed with the band until early 2006 when he left the band to join up with rock legend Rob Zombie.

[edit] Recent

In early 2006 Piggy D. was snapped up by Rob Zombie as a bassist, replacing Rob "Blasko" Nicholson on the American Witch tour. Montgomery's debut performance with Rob Zombie came on May 24 where the band made an appearance on CBS' "The Late Show with David Letterman".

Piggy D. and his band The Evacuation Plan where set to release their first album this year but recording stopped due to the fact Rob Zombie had hired him as bassist. Piggy D recently said this about the situation:

"I get asked a lot when the EP record will be out. Very little has been recorded so far. All the demos haven't even been learned yet by the rest of the band. This is simply because I had to bail while we were in the studio to go play with Zombie. In a perfect world, I'd like to have the record next year. I just want to get it done, and get it done right. I have no intention on putting out ANYTHING I feel is sub-par, what's the point?"
