Matt Maher (Matthew Maher) is a Catholic musician originally from Newfoundland, Canada, who later relocated to the Phoenix area of Arizona. Since his debut album entitled The End and the Beginning, his success and popularity have soared. In 2003, he released his highly anticipated second album Welcome to Life.

In 2006, Matt released his third album Overflow. Overflow recently was #47 on the top 100 Christian & Gospel Albums on iTunes. His record label is Spirit and Song.

Matt gained further notoriety when fellow worship leader, Chris Tomlin, recorded "Your Grace Is Enough" which Maher had written for his sophomore album, Welcome to Life. The two met at a Youth Specialties conference held in Phoenix when Tomlin's band was asked to "back" Maher up. Tomlin instantly fell in love with the song and went on to record it for his 2004 Arriving CD. The song has swept the country and has become a popular worship anthem.

Matt serves at St. Timothy's Catholic Parish in Mesa, Az. There he met and learned from his friend and mentor, Tom Booth. St. Tim's is well known for creating LIFE TEEN, Inc. an international Youth Ministry whose purpose is to lead teens closer to Christ. He serves at the 5:00pm Teen mass as the leader of the music ministry.

Matt has three other band members- Kemi Ndolo, Dan Hinze, and Kenny Butler
