Matt Lentz (born November 19, 1982 in Ortonville, Michigan) is a guard for the New York Giants. Lentz played college football at the University of Michigan.

Lentz is a graduate of Brandon High School in Ortonville, where he was named Offensive Player of the Year and ranked the number one player in the state by the Oakland Press. He was also a regional champion in Shot Put and Discus, setting new school records in both fields in his Junior year.

Lentz attended the University of Michigan, earning his first Varsity letter as a Sophomore in 2002. He went on to become a three-year starter at Right Guard, and a two-time All-Big Ten first teamer.

Lentz is yet to start a regular season game for the Giants, and is currently placed on IR. He was impressive in their fourth pre-season game which they won 31-23 over the New England Patriots as part of a unknown backup offensive line, also including NaShani Goddard and Todd Londot, protecting backup quarterback Jared Lorenzen who threw 10 of 15 passes for 116 yards.
