Matthew Aloysius (Matt) Kilroy (June 21, 1866 in Philadelphia - March 2, 1940) was an American pitcher in Major League Baseball. His debut game took place on April 17, 1886. His final game took place on August 17, 1898. During his career, he played for Baltimore Orioles and Cincinnati Porkers of the American Association, the Boston Reds of the Players League, and Washington Senators, Louisville Colonels, and Chicago White Stockings of the National League. He died in the town in which he was born, Philadelphia.
Kilroy holds the all-time major league record for strikeouts in a season with 513. He achieved this in 1886 with the Baltimore Orioles.
