Matt Hader

Matt Hader (born August 16, 1960, Evanston, IL) is an American screenwriter, producer, and director. Originally from Chicago, he graduated from Maine South High School in Park Ridge, Illinois. As a walk-on, he played wide receiver for famed coach Jimmy Johnson at Oklahoma State University. Studied at The Second City in Chicago. Matt worked as a DJ for various radio stations in the Chicago area.

He is on the Board Of Directors of The American Screenwriters Association, and was a panelist at the Austin Film Festival and Marco Island Film Festivals in 2004. Matt was a panelist at the 2005 San Diego Film Festival. He's the brother of producer Art Hader and writer Andrew Hader, and the uncle of Bill Hader (cast member - Saturday Night Live).

He co-wrote the book "Songs And Sounds" with singer/songwriter Pat DiNizio (The Smithereens). His writing credits include Dead Horse, 2004 (starring Daniel Von Bargen), and King Leisure SOB, 2004 (starring Pat DiNizio of The Smithereens). In 2001 he produced the film April's Fool.

Matt's brother, comedic performer Rick Hader, aka Myron Noodleman is the "Clown Prince of Baseball."
