This article is about the former town in Kagoshima Prefecture, Japan. There is a city in Ehime Prefecture with this name, see Matsuyama, Ehime. For other uses, see Matsuyama (disambiguation).
Matsuyama (松山町; -chou) was a town located in Soo District, Kagoshima, Japan. On January 1, 2006 the town merged with two other towns formng the city of Shibushi and no longer exists as an inpdendent municipality.
As of 2003, the town had an estimated population of 4,870 and the density of 97.77 persons per km². The total area was 49.81 km².
