MatrixOne

MatrixOne (NASDAQ: MONE)1 is a provider of Internet business collaboration software. They have specialized in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM). Most customers of MatrixOne are big Fortune 1000 companies; for the year 2004 they report 650 global customers. Their flagship product is the Matrix10, which consists of a bundle of business process applications based on a common interoperable foundation platform.

The company has its headquarters in Westford, Massachusetts and several offices throughout United States, Canada, Europe, Asia, and Pacific Rim. As of 2005, MatrixOne employs approximately 450 people globally. MatrixOne was founded in 1983 as Adra Systems and changed its name in 1997. The company held its initial public offering of shares in March 2000.

In March 2, 2006, Dassault Systemes announced a $408 million offer to acquire MatrixOne.

  • Note 1: The ticker symbol for MatrixOne is normally MONE, but on May 24, 2005 the company received a Nasdaq delisting notice for failure to file its third-quarter 10-Q form with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). NASDAQ appends an "E" to the symbol of any company delinquent in its filing obligations. MatrixOne became compliant with exchange requirements near the end of 2005. The company now falls under Dassault Systèmes (Pronounced - Dasoh) with ticker symbol DASTY, and is now known as ENOVIA Matrix One
