Matkurja

Matkurja or Mat' Kurja [1] is an internet server dedicated to maintaining general information on Slovenia. It is currently a privately maintained public domain database.

Historically, Matkurja has been the first WWW server in Slovenia. It is sometimes claimed that the history of Matkurja is the history of the Internet in Slovenia. The server was initiated in Spring 1993 by Mark Martinec of the Jožef Stefan Institute. It has been open for public access in November 1993.
