Matias Masucci's career and life has earned him a great deal of respect both in the writing and acting community. Born in a small Italian town on the outskirts of Milan, by the age of fourteen Matias had traveled a few times across the globe and was fluent in three languages. During this time of his life he was also already appearing on the Italian theatre scene with some of Italy's most distinguished productions.
It didn't take long before his work was noted. In 1994 Matias was awarded the prestigious Cicognini Theatre Award in Florence for his performance as Enrico in the stage adaptation of "La Stangata". Shortly after that Matias was cast by veteran French director Jean-Pierre Moreau in the film Laissez Les Enfants Pleurer (1996). The film and his performance were met with great critic's response at that year's Cannes Film Festival.
In the following years Matias regrettably appeared in fewer stage productions in Milan and Rome and was mostly busy shooting a series regular role in the Italian television series "Luoghi Comuni" (Common Grounds). During this time Matias developed a strong passion for the art of writing. Soon after discovering this new devotion he redirected his entire focus toward it. That same year he wrote a series of short stories titled “Lights Hunters” that were published monthly by the Giornale Di Confine. At this time he also began work on the novella "Water and Wine".
At twenty years of age Matias moved across the ocean to the United States to continue pursuing his artistic journey. Since living in America he has jump started his literary career by writing and producing the stage play "Stargazing" and by writing several screenplays such as West of Nowhere, Another Story and Jack Rabbit. His acting credits have also increased notably and include roles in Spencer Susser's Cornuto (2003), in Garry Marshall's Raising Helen (2004) and opposite Gary Sinise in CSI: New York (2004) to mention a few.
