Mathew Kemp

Mathew Kemp (born August 8, 1980 in Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, Australia) is an Australian football (soccer) player who plays in the position as a left midfielder. He currently plays for Adelaide United in the newly formed Hyundai A-League.

He is a left midfielder. He has recently played left back in the 2006/2007 season, and has made himself a regular at Hindmarsh Stadium there. He was signed by the AIS in 1998 but tramsferred the next season to Adelaide City who were then part of the now defunct NSL. After playing a season there he was signed by Italian side Spal. The next season he moved back to Australia were he returned to play for Adelaide City. He kept playing there until the NSL was cancelled. He was signed by Adelaide United who were part of the new A-League. In the A-League's inaugral season (2005-06) he had a great start. His season was ruined when he got injured and he missed the rest of the season. He has made a promising start to the 2006-07 season, scoring a goal against local club Adelaide Galaxy.
