Mater Dolorosa School is a Preschool through Grade 8 Catholic School located along the banks of the Connecticut River in Holyoke, Massachusetts. It celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2006. It has a very good physical education program, a computer lab with decent computers, a library with lots of fiction and non-fiction books,a good lunch program, and top notch teachers. Mater Dolorosa School's Mission Statement: Mater Dolorosa School, following the spirit of Saint Francis, fosters and encourages a concern for peace and justice daily. We nurture this spirit in our school from pre-school through grade 8 by virtue of prayer and service to God and others. Within a multi-cultural, ethnic, and racially diverse environment, we maintain academic excellence and strive to keep pace with technological advances in an every changing-world.
