Wurplite: Massive Destroyer
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Wurplite: Massive Destroyer is a rock band based in Levittown, Pennsylvania. Led by vocalist/guitarists Dylan "Rod Cocaine" Moore and Jon "Skeezix" Notwick, Wurplite has been churning out nigh-quality rock since late 2006. Their first real hit, Vietname, became an overnight sensation in the Levittown area, and was followed up with such crowd-pleasers as Stockholm Syndrome and Ego 747. Wurplite is also well known for its impressive cover versions of Steely Dan's "Reelin' in the Yrs.", "Help" by the Beatles, and Herman's Hermits' "Henry VII". They are currently on 5 inch Records, the label begun by Moore and former NBV bandmate Tomis "Tom69" McQuiston. The full Wurplite lineup changes often, but the band currently consists of:
Dylan "Rod Cocaine" Moore - lead guitar, lead vocals, keyboards
Jon "Skeezix" Notwick - rhythm guitar, bass, backing vocals
Andrew "Buck Futter" Tevington - keyboards, synth, percussion
Austin "Dewey Decimal" Parrish - drums
Joe "Gidget" Deery - rhythm guitar
Ryan "Hugh Jass" Hall - touch-tone phone, percussion
and others.
Wurplite has worked with several other artists from the Levittown area, including Ready Not Ready, Ian Fursa, Naked Bousgh Vooshies, Crab Cannon, Fire Ninja vs. America, Spicy KB, and others.
They are currently working on their debut album, "Anrgy and Diseased".
