[edit] Welcome
Welcome!
Hello MasterOfAllBullBreeds, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, some of your edits have not conformed to Wikipedia's Neutral Point of View policy, and have been reverted. Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations that have been stated in print or on reputable websites or other forms of media.
There's a great page about the NPOV policy that has tips on how to effectively write about disparate points of view without compromising the NPOV status of the article as a whole. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the Wikipedia Boot Camp, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}}
on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page
- Help pages
- Tutorial
- How to write a great article
- Manual of Style
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! Wizardry Dragon 23:37, 17 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Winston Bulldog
Hello, please start a new article on the Winston Bulldog rather than combining it with the Olde English Bulldogge article. In addition, you might want to read this article Old English Bulldog. Thank you SirIsaacBrock 22:12, 8 April 2006 (UTC)
- Hi, thanks for starting a new article, would you be so kind to edit the article in the same format as all the other articles. I hope you take the time to write some other articles on bulldogs, there are plenty of these breeds left to include in Wikipedia. Cordially SirIsaacBrock 23:20, 8 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Cutting and pasting content
Most of the time, cutting-and-pasting content from other sources is a copyright violation, unless the material has been licensed correctly for use in Wikipedia. Thanks, OhNoitsJamieTalk 01:44, 9 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Removal of copyvio tags
Please do not remove copyright violation tags unless the issue has been resolved. Furthermore, this particular article would likely face deletion due to it's lack of notability/verifiability. OhNoitsJamieTalk 23:06, 11 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Removal of copyvio tags again
Please stop. If you continue to vandalize pages, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. OhNoitsJamieTalk 17:33, 13 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Removal of AfD tags
This is your last warning. The next time you vandalize a page, as you did to Winston Bulldogs, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. - Trysha (talk) 22:03, 19 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Do you need help with permissions?
Are you the original author of these works? Are you Brian S. Cram Jr.? I note that the material for Working Bulldogs was posted to pets.ca on September 7th, 2004. Did you originally write it? If not, are you familiar with the permissions processes for Wikipedia? For example, Ask for permission - see Wikipedia:Boilerplate request for permission, and Wikipedia:Confirmation of permission
One wikipedian at http://mail.wikipedia.org/pipermail/wikilegal-l/2003-December/000139.html suggested as follows: The best way to prove copyright is by registration with the copyright office. They would have a certificate that is issued that they have signed. The penalties for making a false declaration when filing such a certificate are severe.
However, it is not necessary to do that to have copyright in an original text. As under copyright law copyright exists from the moment of fixation without any kind of formality or publication.
In such a case a sworn affidavit from the author stating that they authored a particular text with the text attached to the affidavit or made a part of the affidavit will mean that the person is testifying, under pain of perjury, that they are the author. Of course it will be necessary to identify the person to verify their identity, the notary will do that when swearing the affidavit.
