[edit] User page
Hello! Do you plan on contributing to any articles on Wikipedia? The user page is generally not intended to be used as curriculum vitae. --HappyCamper 19:48, 1 January 2006 (UTC)
Hi HC, I apologize for mis-using the site. I have corrected some mistakes in math pages, but I was not a member then. I will contribute to pages whenever I come across ones that are empty and have the time. Should I take down my information? --Marc Yoshida 15:05, 1 January 2006 (EST)
- Well, I don't think you need to remove your information - you put in a lot of effort to make it, and it's wonderful to meet someone like you on Wikipedia! I just brought this up because the page looks rather more like this. However, if you want me to delete it from Wikipedia, I can do that as well for you.
- Just be sure to add more about what you plan to do on Wikipedia. For starters, take a look at Wikipedia:User page. There are some best practises listed there. Just add a little bit of content at the top about Wikipedia and I think it should suffice. Even little things will do - for example, what articles do you visit often and like? What things do you think you can help out at your leisure? How did you find out about Wikipedia. Things are pretty relaxed here, so you can put pretty much what you want on your userpage; but maybe adding a bit more about Wikipedia would be better. There's no rush, but just keep it in mind. I hope this helps, and I'll see you around :-) --HappyCamper 20:54, 1 January 2006 (UTC)
Hi HC. I have changed the content according to the user guides. I hope to contribute to Wikipedia in the near future. Thank you.
[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Gunnernme.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Gunnernme.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).
The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}
.
Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, or ask them at the Image legality questions page. Thank you. Shyam (T/C) 19:37, 6 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image Tagging for Image:HBSIDPic.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:HBSIDPic.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
